Kansas City Chiefs Acknowledge Domestic Violence Allegations Connected to Wide Receiver Rashee Rice

The NFL franchise released a comment on Wednesday evening indicating they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in online accounts by a former girlfriend of player Rashee Rice and had been in contact with the league office.

The organization omitted the name of Rice by name in their statement and said they would have “no further comment at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice directly, shared a set of images on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones stated the individual in question was the father of her children, and it is known she has kids with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the second round.

No official complaints were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the alleged abuse is said to have taken place.
