The relatives of teenagers lost after a devastating blaze at a venue in a Swiss winter destination are facing an painful wait for confirmed information and appealing for any details about their loved ones online.

The inferno ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of January 1st. Circulated footage depict the ceiling being engulfed in flames as bottles with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Officials have warned that it could take considerable time to formally name the victims of the fire, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and injured another 119. A spokesperson said on Friday that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with efforts continuing to name the final individuals.

In the meantime, families and friends have been taking to social media to plead for any news about their friends who were present at the venue that fateful night.

Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For

The location of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an public plea from his parent.

The resident of Lutry near Lausanne, told a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the hospital, while his father did the equivalent search in Bern, but was unsuccessful.

She continued that some of his friends had been found with burns covering nearly half their bodies. "There are no words; they endured a terrifying ordeal."

The Italy's foreign ministry has confirmed that a number of of its young people have not been located.

Junior golfer Emanuele Galeppini, sixteen, was last heard from around the turn of the new year on December 31st, according to.
